We stock rough sawn treated timber for fencing, framing, decking subframes and outdoor building work. Sections run from 25 x 38 mm battens to 75 x 150 mm, in 22 mm, 25 mm, 47 mm and 75 mm thicknesses. All timber is pressure treated and FSC® certified, with lengths from 1.2 m to 6 m on selected sizes.

Why Use Rough Sawn Treated Timber

Rough sawn treated timber is a practical choice for outdoor and structural work where strength and rot resistance matter more than a finished face. Pressure treatment protects against rot, insects and fungal decay.

  • 22 x 100 mm and 22 x 150 mm boards are used for fencing rails, garden edging, raised beds and light outdoor framing
  • 25 x 38 mm battens are used for counter battens, trellis frames and general fixing work, with 25 x 50 mm Type A graded battens for tiled and slated roofs
  • 47 x 50 mm and 47 x 75 mm timber is used for shed framing, gate frames, studwork and bracing
  • 47 x 100 mm to 47 x 225 mm joists are used for decking subframes, floor joists, wall plates and garden buildings, and are C24 graded
  • 75 x 100 mm and 75 x 150 mm sections carry heavier loads in pergolas, bearers and larger outdoor structures

Most timber is kiln dried before treatment, and finished sizes run slightly under nominal. A 47 x 100 mm section finishes at 45 x 95 mm.
