What is the difference between rock faced and smooth faced gravel boards?
Rock faced boards have a textured, stone-effect surface. Smooth faced boards have a flat finish. Both perform the same job; the choice is about how the fence line looks.
Do concrete gravel boards need fixings?
Not with slotted concrete posts. The boards drop into the slot and are held by the weight of the panel above. Timber posts need gravel board clips or brackets.
Can I use concrete gravel boards with timber fence posts?
Yes, with the right brackets fitted to the post. Many people pair concrete gravel boards with timber posts to protect the panel base while keeping a timber look above ground.
